The Local Creative

An outlet for Emily Holsman’s Pastel Paintings

One of the greatest challenges Emily Holsman faces as an artist is generating exposure and an awareness of her work.

It is one thing to market art prints and pastel paintings online but she was delighted recently when the Westernport Chamber of Commerce developed and implemented a tremendous new initiative, whereby it secured the use of some vacant High Street retail space to display and sell the work of local artists based on the Mornington Peninsula.

The Local Creative in Hastings secured six retail outlets to display and sell paintings, sculpture, art prints, woodwork, and jewellery produced by local artists.

The concept was officially launched by Federal Environment Minister and Local MP Greg Hunt, at an event attended by several hundred people.

We are delighted that The Local Creative will be stocking some of Emily’s beach and landscape paintings, together with her pelican paintings, pastel art prints and art cards.
